Situation
Rolling out Fiber to the Home (FTTH) is a massive undertaking, involving not just a technology shift but also coordination between multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders. At Tecnotree, we embarked on this journey to enable high-speed fiber services for our customers under a very tight timeline.
Task
I was entrusted with leading the FTTH delivery from scratch to commercial launch, ensuring that business requirements, technical designs, and integrations were clear across all stakeholders—internal teams, external vendors, and operators.
Action
- Conducted requirement elicitation workshops with stakeholders to capture and prioritize features using MoSCoW analysis.
- Authored comprehensive business process documentation and technical design specifications to serve as the reference point for all parties.
- Facilitated cross-functional alignment sessions with product, development, and integration teams, ensuring no gaps between expectation and delivery.
- Proactively managed risks and dependencies to keep the project on track despite challenges.
Result
- Successfully delivered the FTTH platform on time and within scope, despite the aggressive schedule.
- Provided documentation that became the key reference for all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and reducing rework.
- Enabled the commercial launch of FTTH services, strengthening the operator’s competitive positioning in the market.
This project highlighted how leadership, documentation, and cross-team alignment can transform a high-risk initiative into a successful launch.
